Two women have denied perverting the course of justice in connection with a shooting on the A41.
Last year, a man in his 20s was shot on the A41 northbound and left in a life-threatening condition. Fortunately, the victim has since recovered after receiving medical treatment.
At St Albans Crown Court on Friday, February 14, Zarmina Galmne, 24, of Village Way, Pinner, and Selin Johnson, 24, of High Meadow Crescent, Kingsbury, pleaded not guilty.
They are due to reappear in court next year for a trial beginning March 2, 2026.
In January, it was revealed that a seventh person was charged as part of the investigation into the shooting. The individual, aged 17, was charged with attempted murder.
At the time, Detective Inspector Mark Butler, from the BCH Major Crime Unit, said: “This has been a complex investigation, and the team has worked tirelessly to gather evidence which has led to another charge in connection with the shooting.”
