Watford Mayor Peter Taylor and councillor Dawn Allen-Williamson visited Ngorli CIC, a community interest that supports children and families in the Watford community located in Christ Church on St Albans Road, to present the children with Christmas presents.

Dawn Allen-Williamson, Liberal Democrat councillor for Callowland, said: “A lot of parents have lost their jobs over the last few months and are struggling to make ends meet. I don’t want any child to have to go without a gift this Christmas.

“It was lovely to see some of our local children taking their education seriously and I would encourage any parents to visit Ngorli CIC if your children are struggling with their academics and in need of help or support with their schoolwork.”

Peter Taylor, Elected Mayor of Watford, added: “Rhoda and the team of volunteers at this Saturday School do a wonderful job. They have made sure that despite the difficulties of this year, their support for young people has continued so that they can reach their potential. It was great to visit the school again and to see the really positive impact that they are making.”

The CEO of Ngorli CIC, Rhoda Amezado, said: “Thank you so much to Peter Taylor, Mayor of Watford, cllr Dawn Allen-Williamson and Lincoln Bedford for giving Ngorli CIC children Christmas present.  God Bless you for showing us kindness.”
