It’s not just in her fantasy books where dreams come to life, as a Bushey author announced that she has recently won two awards.
Both of G.T. Jones’ novels, Meadow’s Beginning and Evil’s Wrath, have won a 2025 Golden Wizard Book Prize after being judged by a panel of experts.
The books are part of a thrilling trilogy called The Beast Trials that has captivated readers with its mystery, magic, and emotional depth.
Speaking to BUSHEYnews, Jones admitted that entering her work for the awards was nerve-wracking.
She said: “When I put my book forward, I didn’t think I’d get it. These are experts who know books so well, so it’s daunting.”
But Jones needn’t have feared, as her novels were described by the CEO of the Golden Wizard Book Prize Louise Jane as “riveting reads that seamlessly blend excitement with masterful writing”.
The prize is renowned as the top children’s book awards program in the world, and aims to encourage more children to experience the joy of a great book.
After winning the award, Jones shared: “I was enthralled by the news. I am deeply honoured and feel very blessed and humbled.”
The idea behind the trilogy came when Jones started writing as a hobby while caring for her disabled son, whose imagination helped to inspire her stories.
Now focused on completing the highly anticipated final book, Jones promises an ending packed with excitement and revelations.
With growing fans and two golden seals of approval, this magical journey is only just beginning.
