A Hunton Bridge photography group is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special exhibition in Watford’s Atria shopping centre.
The local Photo Artists group was founded 10 years ago by Jaffer Bhimji and seven other retired ex-professional photographers who still had an enthusiasm for the practice.
The group decided to commemorate their anniversary by inviting members of their global Facebook group to participate in an exhibition.
So far, they’ve had photos submitted from across the country for the exhibition, and even from as far as the USA, Canada and Australia.
The photos on display were taken using a wide range of techniques, from film photography and iPhone images to silver print and infrared. Some have even been artificially generated.
Jaffer said: “As far as we are aware, Photo Artists is the first group to exhibit the much talked about artificial intelligence synthetic images.”
The anniversary exhibition will be on display in the Atria’s Upper Gallery from September 16 to 30, from 10am to 4pm every day. Entry is free.
