A man has been charged in connection with a series of business burglaries across Hertfordshire and London.
Niall Daly, 31, of Normansfield Close, Bushey, has been charged with conspiring to commit burglary with intent to steal.
The offences are dated between April 28 and May 1 and relate to five separate incidents. These reportedly took place at Morrisons on Cassiobury Drive in Watford, Morrisons on High Road in Bushey Heath, Spar on the High Street in Bushey, and two in London.
He was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on Thursday, June 19.
The cross-border charges come after diligent work from the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit and Intervention Teams, Watford Intervention, Welwyn Hatfield Local Crime Unit, Scenes of Crime Officers and the Operational Intelligence Team.
Detective Constable Jay Jeffrey, from the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit who is leading the investigation, said: “Burglary has a profound and damaging impact on businesses. We are pleased to have secured these charges and now await the outcome of Daly’s upcoming court appearance.”
