The Royal Masonic School for Girls (RMS) in Rickmansworth held its inaugural Celebration of Diversity Evening on Wednesday, November 13, as part of its Diversity and Belonging Week.
Throughout the night, an array of perspectives and talents were showcased. Members of the RMS community shared stories, insights and experiences on topics ranging from the importance of supporting female entrepreneurs, to understanding cultural identity and the meaning of belonging.
Speakers reflected on diversity, the beauty of mixed heritage, and personal journeys that highlighted the power of inclusion and representation.
The evening also included performances of poetry, ballet, and contemporary dance.
Miss Simmonite and Ms Gardner, equality, diversity and inclusion leads for RMS, said: “This was instigated by our wonderful diversity prefects Thihalini M and Saania M who were very keen to hold an event where we could showcase and celebrate the diversity within and across our school community.”
