After two years of searching for new leaders, Croxley Green Baptist Church has welcomed in new Minister Stephen Elmes.
Stephen and his wife, Sara, were drawn to the character of both the church community and the wider locality.
The father-of-three said: “We felt the church had a real vision and love for its community.”
He added that neighbours and new friends have made the couple feel “really welcome”.
“The pace of Croxley Green doesn’t feel too hurried, which I like,” said Stephen. “There’s also so much green space – the woodlands, the moorland. We’ve settled surprisingly quickly after 20 years in Surrey.”
Alongside working closely with his congregation, the new Minister is keen to forge links with other ministers in the town, regardless of denomination.
“Each branch of Christianity brings different gifts from God for the world, combining powerfully to reveal the riches of God’s love,” Stephen explained.
