A creative kid from Swing Gate Infant School’s Reception class has won the Christmas card competition run by Gagan Mohindra, Member of Parliament for South West Hertfordshire.
The competition for primary school students across the constituency was won by four-year-old Carwyn, and his design will now be printed on Mr Mohindra MP’s 2021 Christmas card mailout.
All pupils at Swing Gate created artwork which were then turned into Christmas greeting cards, before the school selected a couple of the best designs to be entered into the competition.
Francesca Gallagher, headteacher at Swing Gate Infant School and Nursery, said: “The children really enjoyed creating their designs and we are delighted that Carwyn’s has been chosen as Gagan Mohindra’s Christmas card.
“We are also pleased that Gagan will be visiting our school to meet with Carwyn and present him with his prize.”
Carwyn said: “I was glad when I found out that I had won. Mummy and daddy are excited too.”
