A special first aid challenge was recently held in the village by the Chorleywood and Rickmansworth St John Ambulance.
A total of seven teams entered the contest, including the Three Rivers Police Cadets, Croxley Green and Bushey Guides, and the Air Force Cadets in Rickmansworth.
Together, those participating had to complete a variety of tasks, including three first aid scenarios where actors pretended to have injuries or illnesses.
This year’s incidents included someone who had slammed their hands in a door, one person who was choking and another who was having an asthma attack, as well as someone who wasn’t breathing.
Other tasks included a fun quiz of five rounds.
Altogether, the Croxley Green Guides emerged as the winners.
Unit lead Caroline Pearce said: “It is great that so many youth groups in our community share the day with us and St John Ambulance wants to thank all the young people for entering and for doing so well.
“If anyone in our community would like a first aid training session, please contact us by sending an email to rickmansworth-and-chorleywood-herts@sja.org.uk”
