People in Pinner are calling on Harrow Council to take urgent action to address an unsafe crossing in the village.
The concern centres around an unsafe crossing on Marsh Road which is next to Reddiford School. Campaign coordinator Florence Raja told PinnerNews that the school and nursery have contacted the council in the past several times about this issue and the council has rejected this matter/request every single time in terms of making crossing safer within this zone.
Florence said the campaign is gathering momentum.
She said: “We have had 120+ (still counting) individually signed complaint letters submitted to our campaign and will be presenting these constituent complaint letters to the local councillors in the coming weeks with a request to address this again.
“We truly respect the work that the ward councillors complete supporting local communities with only expenses covered for their extensive work and are keen to work with them on this matter and would truly like to see them be proactive in putting a plan together to address this.
“We fear at some point someone will get badly injured in this spot and many mothers/children/fathers/grandparents and constituents have experienced dangerous issues with this crossing issue. We hope that the councillors address this issue during their current local campaign before the May Local Elections.”
