Three Rivers Music Society (TRMS) will present Symphonia Academica, a leading sting chamber ensemble, at the Baptist Church in Rickmansworth on Monday, October 16.
The six-member ensemble returns after their successful performance with TRMS last year.
This October, the ensemble will perform an extract from Florence Price’s melodic String Quartet no. 2. Price was the first African-American woman to have her music performed by a major symphonic orchestra after breaking into the industry in 1932.
The programme will also feature Mozart’s Flute Quartet in D Major and Bach’s Orchestral Suite no. 2 amongst other pieces.
The concert will be held at the Baptist Church, High Street, Rickmansworth WD3 1EH, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £16 on the door (including programme and refreshments) but under 25s can enter free.
