Police in Stanmore were once again dealing with knife crime after a youngster threatened security staff with a blade.
Local officers were called to Hitchin Lane on Tuesday, April 16 after reports that a young male had made threats with a knife.
A dog unit supported the local officers along with several other police teams as the force followed their commitment to responding to reports of knife crime robustly.
Stanmore is suffering with a knife epidemic just like the rest of London with more than 27 deaths already in 2019.
It follows shocking figures last year, which was London’s bloodiest in almost a decade, as the number of homicides reached 135.
On the evening of the incident Harrow MPS tweeted: “[We] are on scene at Hitchin Lane, Stanmore following a report of security guards being threatened by a male armed with a knife.
“One juvenile arrested, no injuries sustained to any party.”
Alongside their tweet they posted a number of pictures which highlighted the number of officers who acted quickly.
