A project aiming to provide fresh compost to local gardens has made a donation to the village’s community garden.
Chorleywood Parish Council opened the Chorleywood Community Garden early last year. The space has recently benefitted from two large donations of homespun compost collated at Woodoaks Farm in Maple Cross.
This is part of the farm’s ongoing Compost Love initiative.
Posting on social media, a spokesperson for Woodoaks Farm said: “This project is delivering a wonderful opportunity to local people to find out about sustainable gardening techniques, a chance to meet new people and find lasting connections with nature and like-minded folk.”
If any other local residents are interested in taking part in the initiative, the Compost Club takes place at the farm every Friday from 11am to 12pm, where visitors can learn all about compost
