Two new sessions are launching in Abbots Langley to provide support to residents.
Rennie Grove Peace’s Compassionate Café, which provides a safe place for anyone who has been affected by bereavement or any type of loss to come together for a friendly chat, will launch on Wednesday, September 4.
The sessions will take place on the first Wednesday of each month from 2pm to 3.30pm in Breakspeare Room in St Lawrence Church.
Meanwhile, the Compassionate Support Hub, which is designed to support those who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness to come together and meet others, discover what support is available and join in with wellbeing activities, will launch on Monday, September 30.
The support hub sessions will take place on the last Monday of each month from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Elvira’s in the Henderson Hub.
Alison May, community engagement manager at Rennie Grove Peace, said: “It has been brilliant to see the impact our Compassionate Cafés and Support Hubs have had in our existing locations, so we’re thrilled to be bringing this support to Abbots Langley from September.
“Taking that first step and coming along can be scary, but they are safe spaces where everyone is welcome.”
