A theatre group from St Albans is campaigning for shoppers to help give them a cash boost.
Trestle Theatre Company (TTC) is part of the Tesco Community Grants initiative where local shoppers can vote for where the share of a cash pot should go.
Once the votes by shoppers are counted up, the charities or community groups with the most votes will win grants of either £1,500, £1,000 or £500.
TTC is asking the people of St Albans to help them support the cost of running Trestle Arts Base.
The venue is a community arts centre providing arts experiences for all including young people and adults with learning disabilities.
Helen Barnett, creative director at TTC, said: “As a theatre company that provides a creative outlet for more than 100 members of the St Albans community, we rely on project-based funding to keep our venue warm and welcoming for all participants.
“We take pride in being a fully inclusive venue, and we hope that you will consider supporting us by casting your vote during your weekly shop.
“Your support can help us continue to provide a safe and vibrant space for everyone to express their creativity and feel a sense of belonging in our community.“
