Fans of a rising Abbots Langley boxer have been pestering her promoter to announce her next fight.
Shannon Courtenay, known to boxing fans as ‘The Baby Face Assassin’, has won three out of three of her super-bantamweight professional fights, the last of which was a second round victory over Latvian teenager, Valerija Sepetovska in June.
The 25-year-old has been training intensely and is clearly ready for her next bout, but at the time of writing, the world-famous promoter Eddie Hearn, who took Courtenay under his wing last year, has yet to announce her opponent and fans of the boxer and beginning to get impatient.
Throughout this month, they’ve taken to Twitter to pile the pressure on Hearn.
One user said: “Can’t wait for @scourtenay’s next fight to be announced come on @EddieHearn get a contract wrote up #fightnight.”
Another wrote: “@EddieHearn come on man sort this out, @scourtenay is itching and ready and you’re not announcing her next victim. I don’t mind coming to work for you, I can assist. Decent CV.”
