A pupil at Rickmansworth School is one of 15 secondary school students across the country who have been selected to become ambassadors for an initiative aiming to tackle climate change.
Year 9 pupil Kairavi Sankhesara is now an ambassador for Transform Our World, an online hub supporting teachers in bringing environmental and social action into the classroom.
As part of her new role, Kairavi will regularly meet online with the other pupils to discuss ideas on events, make social media content, create sessions, and share their thoughts and feelings to raise awareness of the problems surrounding the climate crisis.
Kairavi has also been an integral part of the annual Youth Summit, which took place alongside the COP27 climate change conference in November, and presented one of the sessions.
