CLASS CARING: Northwood Nursing proud to meet CQC’s standards

Published on: 6th December 2019   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

A Northwood-based care agency has retained its ‘Good’ rating with the Care Quality Commission for the second time running.

Recently inspected with only 24 hours’ notice given, Northwood Nursing and Care Services was delighted to receive green lights across the five rated categories of safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led.

The inspector who visited in October found that Northwood’s staff  “consistently provide person-centred care” and that the service has a “leadership and culture which promoted high quality” support.

Family members interviewed as part of the process described staff as “lovely people, so kind and helpful” and felt the care they received always respected them and their home. Relatives also felt reassured to receive a “quick response” and described the Northwood office team as “organised, proactive, good listeners who give sound advice”

Chief executive, Sian Hammer, welcomed the report, saying: “I am proud that the standards we seek to achieve have been recognised. Providing the highest quality care and customer service through our ‘customer first’ ethos, in the comfort of our clients’ own home is at that the heart of everything we do.”

Established in 2000, Northwood Nursing and Care has established a strong reputation for high quality visiting and live-in care whilst working closely with the local community.
