Record-breaking fundraising, star-studded support, and singing in the rain have marked a successful year for the Harrow Apollo Male Choir.
The season opened in spectacular fashion at the Beaconsfield Festival 2025, where the choir joined over 1,000 voices in a soaring celebration of music.
On VE Day, the choir honoured history with a stirring performance at Bentley Priory.
During a seaside adventure in Poole, a guided tour of the RNLI station erupted into an impromptu performance of The Wellerman.
It’s not just by entertaining the crowds that the choir has been making an impact, as they have also contributed to some outstanding fundraisers.
June’s Summer Concert raised over £1,000 for a restoration project at St Anselm’s Church, while their weekend in Poole saw them raise a record-breaking £1,149.75 for the RNLI.
Actor Phil Cheadle also came along to one of the choir’s rehearsals to give guidance and advice.
The choir rehearse every Tuesday at 8pm at St Alban’s Church Hall, North Harrow. Call 07885 466632 for more information.
