Two men from Rickmansworth have invented a cooling and heating cap, and are crowdfunding for the next stage of the project.
Business partners Gary Melbourne and David Currie first came up with the unique idea for Chilli Wear ™ back in March 2019 and since then have been working hard behind the scenes developing and testing the product ready for the production stage.
The Chilli Wear Cooling Cap is designed to keep the customers head cool, even when working or exercising outdoors. It combats the problem of regular baseball caps, which impede heat loss by 60 per cent and can make the head hotter.
Co-founder David Currie told RickyNews: “The product is all about supporting how people can be more comfortable doing their daily activities and it can help support headaches too.
“It all started when Gary was building my patio in the heat, we were sitting talking and decided we needed something that would help in these situations. We considered different products, came up with a list of about 15 and this was the front runner.”
The Chilli Wear cap contains a removable medical-grade gel-pack in a fully insulated pocket to block heat bleed and maintain the temperature to keep you cooler for longer.
