Charlotte House Prep is proud of their pupils’ diversity and encourages the girls to share their religious beliefs and cultural heritage with each other.
As part of this and their RE this term Years 1 and 2 visited Bhaktivedanta Manor to find out more about Hinduism and Hare Krishna.
They listened to stories about Hindu Gods and dressed up in traditional costumes. The girls were able to take a short tractor ride to visit the cows and learn why they are so special to Hindus.
Their visit tied in with the end of Diwali and a special act of worship called Govardhan Puja, where cows are honoured and celebrated.
They were able to see how the cows had been decorated with bright colours as part of the festivities. A fantastic day was had by all.
