CHARITY SHOP: South Bucks Hospice launches store in Amersham

Published on: 9th October 2023   |   By: Sophia Sheera   |   Category: Uncategorized

South Bucks Hospice, which supports patients living with life-limiting illnesses, has opened a new charity shop on Sycamore Road in Amersham.

The shop was officially opened on September 23, when hospice patron Mimi Harker OBE cut a symbolic ribbon draped over the doors.

The event was also attended by former mayor Mark Flys and members of the public.

Posts on social media reveal that the charity shop is well stocked with second-hand furniture, porcelain and jewellery. Amersham’s young and fashionable will be also glad to peruse the shop’s healthy collection of vintage clothes and shoes.

Shop nanager Jagoda Parry said: “We are thrilled to have opened our new South Bucks Hospice retail outlet in Amersham.

“We chose this excellent location as we already knew how friendly and supportive the Amersham community is, but we have been simply overwhelmed with the positive comments from donors and customers since the opening!

“We are looking forward to welcoming you all and hoping to become an integral part of this vibrant community for the years to come.”

Based at 92 Sycamore Road, the shop replaces previous tenants HSBC after the bank closed their Amersham branch in August.

The shop is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
