Motorists in Radlett will pay more to park after Hertsmere Borough Council (HBC) increased its charges.
Prices have now increased at car parks across the borough, including at Radlett’s Newberries Car Park.
The increase came into effect from Monday, July 14, with HBC saying that the changes are “inflationary” and will help to cover the cost of operating the car parks.
Parking for one hour has increased to £1.15, two hours to £2.25, three hours to £3.40, four hours to £4.69, five hours to £5.65, and £7.20 for any longer.
A spokesperson for HBC told Radlett News: “At its budget setting meeting in February, the council agreed to introduce an inflationary increase in car park fees and charges.
“Charges for residents’ permits are unchanged. Fees and charges offset the cost of providing the parking service, including the rates that are charged for the car parks themselves.”
