Proscenium theatre group is celebrating its 100th birthday with a new production at Harrow Arts Centre and an exhibition at Headstone Manor Museum in Pinner.

Founded in 1924, Proscenium is celebrating its milestone with its new production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, which will be the group’s 350th show.

The group was joined by professional actor Robert Glenister in December, who gave the actors tips ahead of their performance.

He said: “Groups like these nurture talent; they’re very important to theatre. They also provide more shy and quieter young people with opportunities to shine at something different as well.”

The production of Julius Caesar will take place from March 13 to 16 at Harrow Arts Centre.

As well as this, Headstone Manor Museum is hosting an exhibition until April 28, entitled Proscenium – 100 Years of Theatre, examining the group’s successes and challenges over the years.
