intu Watford will safely open for non-essential retail on Wednesday, December 2 with extended shopping hours, following the government’s announcement.
The regional shopping destination will now remain open until 7pm, Monday-Saturday, between December 2-20, and until 8pm from December 21-23.
The centre will also open on Christmas Eve from 9am-5pm, for shoppers wanting to get some last-minute ‘panic buys’.
Wearing a face covering in the centre will continue to be mandatory and intu Watford’s team will be reminding everyone to do so if necessary.
Hand sanitiser will remain at entrances, exits and throughout the mall and visitors are reminded to adhere to social distancing.
The number of people inside intu Watford will continue to be monitored.
Centre director, Vicki Costello said: “Safety is our absolutely priority. We are pleased to be able to reopen for non-essential retailers and give our shoppers a feeling of Christmas magic.
“Our Christmas lights will shine bright and illuminate the shopping centre as normal and festive music will play throughout to bring joy to everyone.
“Families will be able to do some festive shopping, grab a mince pie or two and even book a restaurant to eat, drink and be merry.
“There is plenty to look forward to this Christmas at intu Watford.”
