Police investigating a scam in Rickmansworth are releasing CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist them with their enquiries. At around half past midday on Saturday May 16, a man entered a shop in Church Street and stated he was a newsagent who had some stock for sale at a discounted rate. Two victims gave the man cash and they were told to go to the back of a shop. Whilst they did this, the man entered the shop but did not meet them at the back and did not give them any items for the money. The man does not work at the shop. Police would like to speak with the man pictured as it is believed he may have information about the incident that could prove useful to the investigation. A spokesman for Herts Constabulary said: “Anyone who recognises the man, or has any other information about the incident, should contact PCSO Alan Waller via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C2/15/1088. “Alternatively people can contact Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through the secure online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org”
