Police are releasing CCTV footage as part of their investigation into a suspected arson in Watford.
A stationary Hyundai car was set alight in Whippendell Road, just after 5.20am on Tuesday, July 15.
Officers are keen to identify two people seen in CCTV footage taken from the area around the time of the incident, as they believe they may have information that could assist their enquiries. The footage can be viewed on the Herts Police YouTube channel here.
PC Talisha Jobanputra, who is investigating, said: “Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident, but our inquiry is progressing, and we are now releasing footage of two people we would like to identify and speak to as part of our investigation.
“It’s important for the public to know that we are treating the first person seen running – dressed in a dark-coloured jumper and light-coloured trousers – as a key witness, and not a suspect.
“If you recognise either of these people, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
