CCTV APPEAL: Man assaulted outside The Western Pub in Rickmansworth

Officers have released photos of two people who might be able to help their enquiries into an assault which took place in Rickmansworth which left a victim with a swollen eye and cuts to his face.

The incident happened at The Western Pub in the High Street on Thursday 27 August.

Between around 11.20pm and 11.30pm, the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with two men. They then began to assault him by repeatedly punching and kicking him.

During the assault, the victim hit his head on a pole and fell to the floor. The offenders continued assaulting the victim which left him with the injuries.

A racist remark was also made by one of the offenders during the assault.

PC Dan Cunningham, from the Rickmansworth and Croxley Green Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “This was a nasty assault and I want to make clear that there is no place for racism in Rickmansworth. We are doing all we can to investigate and find those responsible.

“We believe that those pictured were in the area at the time of the offence and they could have vital information about what happened.
