CCTV APPEAL: Images released after two teens robbed in Watford car park

Published on: 4th February 2021   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Detectives investigating the robbery of two teenagers in Watford have released images of two people they would like to identify and speak to as part of their enquiries.

It happened in the Waterfields retail park, just before 7pm on Sunday 3 January.

The two male victims, friends aged 14 and 15, were in the car park when they were approached by two men.

They threatened the victims and forced them to hand over a portable speaker and mobile phone before walking off in the direction of the overground station.

Detective Constable Lewis Mortimer, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “Though they were not injured during the robbery, the victims were in fear and felt they had no choice but to hand over their belongings to the offenders, who we believed travelled to and from Watford via train.

“We have made extensive enquiries since this incident was first reported to us and now we are keen to trace the two people pictured, as we believe they were in the area around the time of the incident and may have information that could greatly assist us.

“If you recognise them, or have any further information, then please get in touch.”

You can email DC Mortimer at lewis.mortimer2@herts.pnn.police.uk, report information online at herts.pnn.police.uk/report, use online the web chat at herts.pnn.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 41/622/21.
