Officers investigating the theft of a handbag in Watford have released an image of a woman who may be able to help them with their enquiries.
It happened at the Tesco Extra store on Lower High Street between 2pm and 2.50pm on Friday, May 3.
The victim, a woman in her 70s, was shopping in the store when she noticed her handbag containing her purse was no longer in her trolley.
PC Laura Grant, who is investigating, said: “The victim immediately cancelled all of her bank cards following the incident but has been left understandably shaken by what happened to her.
“I am keen to identify the woman pictured as we believe she may have been in the area at the time of the incident and have information that could assist our investigation.”
If you know her, or have any information that could assist the inquiry, please contact PC Grant on laura.grant@herts.pnn.police.uk, report information online at herts.police.uk/Report or speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via online web chat, quoting reference 41/39854/19.
