Students, parents and teachers from a Pinner school took over a local weekly parkrun to raise money for charity.
On Sunday, June 23, the Reddiford School community joined the Pinner Village Gardens junior parkrun.
A total of 168 children and adults ran the 2km route and raised £1,649 for WaterAid UK. This money will help to provide countries in severe poverty with clean water and toilets to communities around the world. Since 1981, WaterAid UK has directly reached 28 million people with clean water, 28 million with decent toilets, and 26 million with good hygiene.
Reddiford School later posted on social media: “Well done to all our pupils, parents and the parent teacher association (PTA) for taking part in The Charity Fun Run, organised by the Pinner Village Gardens parkrun team and our wonderful PTA. It was a great success!
“Pinner Village Gardens junior parkrun deserve a huge thank you for allowing us to do a ‘takeover’ and for putting on this fantastic weekly event! Thank you, Reddiford PTA!”
