A successful managing director from Rickmansworth has put her career on hold to write and publish a career and professional development book, titled Two Mirrors And A Cheetah : Think Differently, Own Your Career & Succeed By Being Yourself.
Fiona McDonnell, from Rickmansworth, gave up her successful job during the pandemic to put pen to paper and translate her 30 years of experience and career learnings into a book, published on October 5.
The inspiration for the book was driven by the pandemic and people questioning more than ever how they work and being unwilling to accept unfulfilling careers. Two Mirrors and A Cheetah acts as a catalyst for change, helping the reader to challenge their assumptions and make new choices.
Fiona said: “We talk a lot about bringing our whole self to work. I wanted to show people how it is not only possible to be yourself, but how it can be also more beneficial for all of us in the long run.”
Fiona’s wealth of knowledge comes from her experience as a business leader with more than 30 years of experience with global companies including Amazon, Nike, Kellogg’s, McCormick, and Kraft.
Amanda Mackenzie OBE, CEO of Business in the Community said: “This book is dedicated to exploring and understanding yourself. With its insightful advice and exercises to get you to where you want to go, the wisdom in its pages is priceless.”
Two Mirrors and a Cheetah is priced at £12.99 and is available from Amazon, Waterstones, Kobo, and other online retailers. To find out more about the author visit fionamcdonnell.com/author
