A pensioner has been left seriously injured after being hit by a car in Watford.
Police were called at 1.39pm today (Friday, May 20) to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in Hempstead Road, Watford.
The pedestrian, a woman in her eighties, is seriously injured and the ambulance service are at the scene with officers.
A Herts Police spokesperson said: “Road closures have been put in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.”
