The local branch of the Conservative Party has chosen a prospective Parliamentary candidate for the Chesham and Amersham Ward, which covers The Chalfonts.
Councillor Gareth Williams is the current deputy leader of Buckinghamshire Council and has been selected to be the preliminary choice for the Tories for the next general election.
He will take on incumbent Liberal Democrat MP, Sarah Green.
