Officers have released a CCTV image of a man who might be able to help their enquiries following a racially aggravated public order offence in Watford.

At around 2.50pm on Tuesday, July 6 two people were subjected to racist verbal abuse at the Co-op in York Way.

PC Aaron George, who is investigating, said: “Firstly, I would like to stress that Hertfordshire Constabulary takes a tough stance against racism and we are doing everything we can to trace the offender.

“We believe that the man pictured was in the shop at the time and he could have vital information that will help our enquiries.

“If you recognise him, or have other information about what happened, please call the non-emergency number 101 or email me at aaron.george@herts.police.uk quoting crime references 41/51310/21 and 41/51627/21.”

You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report or speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact.

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
