Bushey Festival is set to return this summer and this year the day will feature a special tribute act.
Randall Butler will headline the festival to celebrate the late George Michael which returns to King George’s Recreation Ground on Sunday, July 7.
Tracey Wills who runs The George Michael Appreciation Society shared her delight that a tribute to the former Bushey Meads pupil will be included in the Festival programme.
She said: “Randall is a very popular tribute artist and as this event will be just days after what would have been George’s 56th birthday we will make this a great birthday party for him.”
This fun family day out invites all the community to enjoy live music on two stages, dance, demonstrations, fairground rides, children activities, stalls and street food.
The event was a big hit with locals last year and will be the finale to the annual Bushey Festival week of events.
Other music acts on the day include Watford Rock Choir, Funk Foundation, Sarah Vista, The London Bonnevilles and Big Al’s Blistering Buiks. Local female trio SGR, who wowed the crowd in last year’s open mic event, will also feature on the main stage this year.
Bushey Festival 2019 runs from July 1 to 7. Full programme details will be available shortly http://busheyfestival.org
