Bushey Festival’s link with Pages Farm in Elstree continued on Sunday, April 7 with a very special animal experiential event dedicated to the ‘Passport to Leisure’ from St Albans.
The group of 18 plus adults, who have a range of learning disabilities and live in the St Albans District, attend this amazing social club that provides a range of social experiences.
Group organiser Salpi Gulbekian said: “Members of the club come from a range of backgrounds and just need some additional support. They might live at home or in residential accommodation but they’re all like my extended family.”
The group were able to get close and upfront to a range of animals such as pygmy goats, micro pigs, Shetland ponies, guinea pigs and rabbits as well as walk with the alpacas.
Salpi added: “We really enjoyed the occasion. It was absolutely amazing, especially the alpacas which were the cream on the cake.”
