A bus user from Croxley Green was left astonished when a bus driver was aggressive and threatening towards him.
Martin Jarritt, 63, got onto the 5.27pm 352 bus in Chipperfield to go home when the driver started to play very loud music.
Speaking to CroxleyNews, Martin said: “He was a young person, under 30, who was very scruffy and not professionally dressed. I was the only one on the bus and it seemed like he was in a rush to get back – he was driving way too fast.”
When Martin asked the driver if he could turn down the music to make a phone call, but the driver was aggressive and threatening.
Martin said: “He showed the V sign to me. It’s not right – this is a public transport service not private hire. I decided to get off to avoid an altercation with him. Once I got off, he beeped at me and stuck the V sign to me again.
“I’m 63 and listen to Skrillex and Sigala but this wasn’t the place for music like that. It’s a quiet village service – it was appalling. He was driving way too fast and it was unbelievable that he was physically threatening towards me.
“A taxi driver wouldn’t do it. I’ve just never come across anything like this.”
Vale Travel took over the 352 service from Red Rose around six months ago. The company failed to comment at the time of going to press.
