Once again, Pinner resident Bodhana Sivanandan has proved she is the queen of the chess board, when she took on multiple opponents at one time.
Bodhana, who attends school in Pinner, has been playing chess since she was five years old and last year made history as the youngest-ever player to represent England in an international sporting competition.
Now aged 10, Bodhana is the current Woman FIDE Master and a World Under-8 Champion.
In November, she secured the top spot in the Girls Under 18s category at the Delancey UK Schools’ Chess Challenge, despite being eligible for the Under 10s category.
Bodhana recently competed in yet another incredible challenge during a visit to Stanmore Library on Tuesday, April 15.
Organised by her Chess in Schools and Communities tutor John Ryan, Bodhana went head-to-head with up to 14 opponents simultaneously.
Bodhana’s goal is to become the youngest-ever grandmaster.
In November, she was named the winner of the Young Achiever award at the mylocalHero awards.
