Residents are invited to get into the festive spirit with the highly anticipated return of the Chorleywood Christmas Festival and Lantern Parade.
On Wednesday, December 6, the streets of Chorleywood will be filled with handmade lanterns, singing and dancing to celebrate the festive season. The parade will meet at The Russell School playground and St Andrew’s Church, before proceeding to the main stage on Lower Road.
From there, residents can enjoy the Chorleywood Christmas Festival, which includes the village centre shops opening late, street food, stalls, children’s fairground rides, Santa’s Grotto and festive music from schools, local choirs and music groups.
Last year, the event was attended by actor, comedian, writer and television presenter Matt Lucas.
By registering to take part in the festival, residents can attend one of four lantern-making sessions and make their very own festive lantern.
All the money raised will go towards a local charity. To find out more, head to www.shorturl.at/GMLyA
