A 29-year-old woman accused of murdering a two-year-old child in Hemel Hempstead will now enter a plea on August 8.
Shilyrand Charigwati, of Juniper Square, Hemel Hempstead, made a brief appearance at Luton Crown Court via a video link from Peterborough Prison.
She is accused of murdering the child, who died in hospital on Sunday, April 14.
Her lawyer Jay Nutkins asked for the hearing today (Thursday, July 4) to be adjourned while a psychiatric report is prepared on her.
Judge Michael Simon agreed. A trial date has been set for October 14.
