Emergency services have been at Rickmansworth Road which was closed all morning after a telegraph pole fell onto overhead wires.
Hertfordshire County Council (HHC) Highways tweeted that the stretch of road between Hagden Lane and Cassiobury Road was shut due to an earlier ‘road traffic collision (RTC)’, with motorists being told to keep away from the area.
Whether any injuries have happened as a result of the incident is currently unclear but emergency vehicles were on the scene.
Heavy traffic is still going along the A412 and back to the A411 roundabout. West Watford is also experiencing delays on the roads.
UPDATE: According to HHC, Rickmansworth Road has been cleared and is now re-open.
