The British Transport Police (BTP) have confirmed that a person passed away after reportedly being hit by a train at Watford Junction on New Year’s Day.
A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Watford Junction railway station at around 2pm yesterday (Wednesday, January 1) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
