Police were called by the ambulance service at 3.15pm on Sunday, January 12, following concerns for the welfare of a man at an address in Marlin Square, Abbots Langley.
Officers attended the scene. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man, aged in his 80s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
Hertfordshire Police shared: “Our thoughts are with them at this sad time.”
The death is currently being treated as sudden and unexplained, and officers have remained at the scene while enquiries are carried out, as per standard protocol.
