Garston Bowls Club will reopen for the 2024 season on Saturday, April 20, with its members eager to return after a long winter break.
The club, based at Lea Farm Recreation Ground, is open to all skill levels from social all the way up to national champions, and is actively seeking to recruit new members for the forthcoming season.
The club will be participating in the nationwide Bowls’ Big Weekend campaign in May. From 6pm to 8pm on Friday, May 24, existing members will show visitors around the club. There will also be the chance for prospective members to have a go on the green.
An open day will also be held from 10am to 4pm on Monday, May 27, during which the bar will be open and serving light refreshments. All equipment will be provided.
Club member Glenn Williams said: “The club is a place in the heart of the Garston community where you can be competitive and social all at once.”
