Garston Bowls Club have accrued a whopping 23 gold, silver and bronze trophies this year, bringing home several notable titles.
This July, Dylan Martin became the youngest winner of the County Two Bowl Singles aged just 18, making him the third winner from Garston Bowls Club in recent years.
Club president Jerry Rumball teamed up with Phil Russel from Welwyn District Bowls, and together the pair won the national title for the over-55s category at Bowls England this August. Having battled through five tough games at the national championships at Royal Leamington Spa, they secured the title with an emphatic 24-1 victory.
The club performs just as well in team events. Garston Bowls Club has successfully retained the Club Team Championship for the third consecutive season, making them the first team to do so in county history. Breaking yet another record, the team recorded a mind-blowing 14 wins in this year’s competition.
Unsurprisingly, Garston Bowls Club continues to top the Hertfordshire West Area League Cup and the Hertfordshire County League for the second consecutive year.
