A Chalfont St Peter entrepreneur is one of 100 business founder’s across the UK who are being profiled by a campaign celebrating successful women in industry.
Marie Cavanagh founded Fired Works Art Gallery and Studio in 2014, and since then has been a significant figure in her local community, with her company leading the way in promoting other local businesses and raising money to support those affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
Now, she has been recognised by the f:entrepreneur campaign, which was founded in 2017 to raise awareness of successful businesswomen in order to make their achievements known and provide good role models for those starting out in any industry.
This particular honours those female business founders who not only work to make their businesses the best, but also to be leaders in the community through volunteering and mentoring.
Speaking about being placed in the list, Marie said: “To be named as one of the UK’s inspirational and dynamic female founders is a huge honour. In 2022 Fired Works was named as one of 100 inspirational small businesses, so following that on with this accolade is a fantastic start to 2023.”
