The body of a man was found in the undergrowth at the side of the motorway between Junctions 5 and 6.
Police officers were called to the scene on the M1 yesterday (Monday, January 13). Two lanes of the northbound carriageway were temporarily closed.
Officers are currently working to establish the circumstances of the man’s death, which are currently unexplained, and are expected to remain in the area today.
