Children at Watford General Hospital were surprised by a parade of bikers delivering festive gifts last month.
On Saturday, December 17, the Dacorum Motorcycle Riders Group came together to deliver gifts to children at the hospital.
The tradition started around five years ago by Jon Andrews, and continues to go from strength to strength with gift deliveries also organised for Easter.
Speaking to WATFORDNEWS, Jon said he started the initiative with the help of several individuals from the group including Gavin King.
He said: “It’s gone so well. I can’t believe one little idea has expanded to this. We’ve had so much support from the hospital.
“They helped us design posters and we advertised it everywhere on social media.”
Jon also wanted to pay a special thank you to everyone who helped, including Martin from the Monks Inn in Hemel who stored the gifts, Bricketwood Social Club and Emily Theobald from the Raise West Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity.
