A business founded by a Chalfont St Peter resident was recently nominated for Travel Start-Up of the Year.
Doors to Manual, a travel concierge company, was founded in October 2021 by Chalfont St Peter resident Aiden Walsh.
The staff are all airline professionals turned travel concierge experts, allowing customers to book a holiday from someone who knows all about travelling due to their own extensive experience.
Doors to Manual was nominated for the award at the Travolution Start-Up Summit in London on October 19, which aims to give business founders the chance to discuss their companies and share their experiences.
The event also connected start-up companies with mentors, institutions and investors that support start-ups.
Aiden said: “We feel honoured and taken aback to be nominated against some amazing companies bringing an innovative approach to travel.”
Doors to Manual had to take part in a five-minute elevator pitch about their work, alongside five other businesses. This was done in front of a panel of industry experts who went on to question them for two minutes.
Aiden compared it to a Dragons’ Den pitch and said that it received a “fantastic response” from the audience.
He said: “They loved our concept and the growth potential for the company.”
